The condition of fulfillment in Dnipropetrovs’k region of the legislation concerning target, rational use and protection of the land was considered during the Board of Prosecutor’s Office which was spent by the Public Prosecutor of Dnipropetrovs’k region Mykhailo Kosyuta at participation of acting Chairman of Regional State Administration Victor Sergeev and the Chairman of Regional Council Yury Vilkul.

According to the Substitute of Public Prosecutor of the region Svitlana Vynogradova, the bodies of Prosecutor's Office revealed many offences in land tenure sphere. In particular, abusings during granting of the land areas for the property or rent, caption without permit of the land, cases of building on coastal protective lines along water objects were revealed. Besides, the enterprises have debts on land tax and rent payment and the area of the lands of agricultural and forest purpose decreases.

In his turn the Vice-Chairman of Regional State Administration Petro Dekal’chuk noticed, that for an establishment of the control over legislation fulfillment in the sphere of land relations the State Land Cadastre should be opened as much as possible, also Regional Department on Land Resources has to make inventory of the land, to strengthen the control over land granting in borders and outside of settlements.

According to the Public Prosecutor of the region Mykhailo Kosyuta, such situation in land tenure sphere developed because of the absence of the state control over legislation fulfillment and performance in sphere of land relations, in particular, from Regional Department on Land Resources.
Mykhailo Kosyuta charged to regional and city public prosecutors to accelerate legal proceedings, connected with land relations and to be principled in decision-making.

In 2009 in the sphere of land relations bodies of the Prosecutor's Office of the region initiated 55 criminal cases. 428 protests were satisfied, 300 from them were on illegal decisions of bodies of the state executive authority and local government. 255 instructions and representations were brought.
540 claims were brought according to the results of consideration 660 hectare of the land was returned in the state property, almost 4 million UAH were returned into the budget.
According to the documents of public prosecutor's reaction 112 officials are drawn to different kinds of responsibility, and 4.2 million UAH were compensated, 63 hectares of the land were returned and illegal granting of 600 hectares of the land were prevented.
