In Dnipropetrovs’k regional institute of aftergraduation pedagogical education at support of Main Board on Science and Education of Regional State Administration presented educational program "1 pupil - 1 computer". It will allow not only to raise level of a computerisation of schools, but also to save the child of young school age from harmful programs and sites. Program financing will be carried out at the expense of investments, and charitable means.

Program realisation will be carried out by means of Netbook. Program software is special for schoolchildren and considers age features of children's mentality. The main feature is access to an educational portal which is created now in Internet network. Any teacher can add own materials to educational portal. The entry to resources undesirable to the child is forbidden.

The class that uses this technology unites in community, administration managerial control over which is carried out by the teacher. It gives the chance to see the result of mastering of a material both to the teacher and the pupil, to develop difficult tests and to apply new techniques of studying.

Besides, the technology allows to introduce distance studying, to develop game techniques of knowledge mastering and to carry out the parental control over child’s progress.

The Head of Board on Science and Education of Regional State Administration Victor Sychenko is assured: «Such educational programs will go in interests of development of modern school as they are entered in the Concept of the National Program of Information and can adequately continue business of a computerisation of secondary educational institutions. As well as any innovation, this project requires adaptation to modern realities of our country».

Today 14 countries of Europe, the USA, Canada, Israel already have joined the project,.

In Dnipropetrovs’k region experimental classes, where such program is used, operate at secondary school ¹55 of Dnipropetrovs’k city and secondary school ¹10 of Marganets city.
